About The Position

Under general supervision, assists in performing various technical duties such as aseptically preparing authorization site and transporting patients post-catheterization to their appropriate destination. Many other ancillary duties will be assigned on a day-to-day basis. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Must possess level of knowledge of heart anatomy and physiology acquired through LPN with med training, formal Medical Assistant program, or 2 years of EKG program.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, families and physicians.
• Must have Basic Life Support experience.
• 4 to 6 months on the job training in electrocardiograph interpretation, aseptic techniques and test procedures.
