About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is hiring a full-time, day-shift Cardiovascular Tech in Topeka, Kansas. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures by assisting physicians, monitoring and recording hemodynamics, and scrubbing procedures. The technologist ensures equipment functions properly, troubleshoots as needed, and maintains current knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral technology. Requirements

Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential or registration as a Registered Radiologic Technologist through the ARRT.
Kansas Board of Healing Arts licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
Monitor and record hemodynamics and assist physicians by scrubbing procedures.
Ensure equipment functions properly and troubleshoot it to support quality diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral technology to assist physicians.
Participate in professional development to advance Cardiology Services.
