Requirements

• Graduation from a surgical technologist program through an approved school or the military, upon hire
• Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Function as an integral team member across all phases of the surgical procedure.
• Collaborate with the surgical team, meticulously preparing the operating room, assisting the surgeon, and managing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile field and anticipate team needs for efficiency and patient safety.
• Use of general patient care equipment and communication equipment
• Use of unit specific equipment
• Good telephone and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changes in healthcare technology
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Use of appropriate PPE and safe patient handling devices
