About The Position

HeartPlace is in search of a Full-Time Dual Sonographer to join our team in Frisco, TX at Frisco Imaging Clinic. This role involves performing routine 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, stress echo studies, and vascular exams. The sonographer will also be responsible for explaining tests to patients, providing quality patient care, maintaining equipment, and adhering to departmental QA programs and accreditation processes. The position requires maintaining CME's, CPR, and necessary registries. Requirements

  • Credentialed in Echocardiology (RDCS or RCS) and Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS) through ARDMS or CCI
  • Current BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, stress echo studies and vascular exams (procedures include but are not limited to carotid, arterial, venous for DVT and venous for Reflux).
  • Adequately explain the test to the patient and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintains equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts Technical Support for major malfunctions.
  • Knowledge and routine use of digital image storage system and associated workflow software.
  • Must adhere to the protocols and actively participate in the departmental QA program and accreditation process.
  • Maintain CME’s, CPR, and registries necessary to perform job duties as a registered sonographer.
  • Follows HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Respects and maintains patient confidentiality
