Requirements

  • Completion of approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Two (2)-years of current Radiology Technologist and hands-on scrub including interventional experience
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), within 90 Days

  • Experience in a specialty area or high acute facility
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
  • Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet.
  • Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Utilize good radiation safety practices.
  • Make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
  • Fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging.
  • Knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order.
  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
