About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support a busy cardiovascular surgery program within a teaching acute care hospital. Candidates must have strong experience in both Cardiac OR and Vascular Surgery and be comfortable taking call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of Surgical Technologist experience required
• Strong CVOR experience required
• Strong Vascular Surgery experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS Certification required

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years preferred
• 3+ years of CVOR experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience participating in cardiac call rotations
• Experience working in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Active certification preferred: NBSTSA and/or NCCT

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields for cardiovascular and vascular procedures.
• Assist surgeons during open-heart, vascular, and other surgical cases.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide instrumentation efficiently.
• Participate in call coverage for emergent cardiac and vascular cases.
• Support additional surgical specialties when CVOR cases are not scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with facility safety and infection prevention standards.
