About The Position
The Medical Biller plays a vital part in supporting our patients and clinical team by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing. Your attention to detail and knowledge of insurance processes will help streamline our revenue cycle and maintain our commitment to excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Experience with cardiac and/or vascular billing (required)
- Proficiency with E Clinical Works (eCW) EMR system (preferred)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing processes
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a collaborative team
- Prior experience in a medical office or specialty clinic preferred
- Must be able to work on-site — this position is not remote
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Medical Billing and/or Coding (highly preferred)
Responsibilities
- Accurately code, submit, and track insurance claims for cardiac and vascular procedures
- Manage and resolve claim denials and rejections with persistence and professionalism
- Post charges and payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding balances, payment options, and billing inquiries
- Collaborate closely with providers, front office staff, and insurance representatives to ensure proper documentation and claim accuracy
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure confidentiality of patient records
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
