About The Position

SVCC Outpatient Vascular Center is hiring a Part Time Cardiovascular Invasive Tech 2-3 days during weekdays 8am-4:30pm. A Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist, often referred to as a Cath Lab Technologist, is a healthcare professional specializing in assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role involves working closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality care and ensure the safety and accuracy of procedures.

Requirements

• A graduate of a diploma, associates, or bachelor's health sciences program (includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy or nursing) or a licensed/certified EMT or paramedic.
• ACLS not required for hire but must acquire within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment.
• Evaluates patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
• Provides patient care commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as requested and under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Acts as a first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization.
