About The Position

SVCC Outpatient Vascular Center is hiring a Part Time Cardiovascular Invasive Tech. A Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist, often referred to as a Cath Lab Technologist, is a healthcare professional specializing in assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role involves working closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality care and ensure the safety and accuracy of procedures.

Requirements

A graduate of a diploma, associates, or bachelor's health sciences program (includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy or nursing) or a licensed/certified EMT or paramedic.
ACLS not required for hire but must acquire within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified physician.
Performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment.
Evaluates patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
Provides patient care commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as requested and under the direction of a qualified physician.
Acts as a first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization.
