About The Position

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under the supervision of the Cath Lab Manager, Associate Manager, and direction of the Cardiologist, coordinates the technical and patient care components of cardiac and peripheral angiograms, interventions, and other invasive procedures. This role involves monitoring patients during procedures, recording hemodynamics, and assisting physicians in all angiographic, interventional, implants, and other cardiac procedures. The specialist is responsible for all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures. Maintaining a positive approach in a fast-paced environment is crucial, and the position requires taking emergency call with a 30-minute response time. Requirements

Graduate of an approved school with an Associate Degree in Radiology Science, Cardiovascular Technology, Professional Nursing, or Emergency Medical Science with Paramedic Certification.
For Paramedics with Associate in Applied Science in ENS with Paramedic Certification, must be registered with RCIS/RCES within 18 months of employment.
Maintain current certification/licensure/registry status at all times.
Maintain BLS certification.
ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures.

Maintain current certification/licensure/registry status at all times.
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients’ status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements to his/her age-specific needs.
Provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and procedures.
Maintain BLS certification.
Obtain and maintain current ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
