About The Position

This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills to support staff development, operational goals, patient safety, and high-quality patient care. The individual supervises nursing and technical staff, ensures compliance with accreditation and radiation safety standards, participates in performance improvement initiatives, and partners with leadership to maintain a skilled, patient-focused team. Additional responsibilities include staff evaluations, scheduling, mentoring, budget support, equipment and supply coordination, and promoting excellence in patient experience and service.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Completion of the appropriate Mercyhealth Clinic Ladder Program if applicable.
  • BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN program OR Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology OR Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology with RCIS certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within six (6) months.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within six (6) months.
  • National Institute for Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) to be obtained within six (6) months.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices (WI & IL) OR Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registration (RCIS) issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Ability to follow both written and oral instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in complex situations.
  • Ability to work within the budget and productivity targets to meet organizational objectives.
  • Participates and supports the plans in place for selection of staff, evaluation of staff, orientation of new staff, continued education and development of staff, competency evaluation of staff, appropriate scheduling of staff based on patient acuity.
