Cardiovascular ICU NP or PA
About The Position
OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is seeking an experienced advanced practice nurse or physician assistant to join our adult cardiovascular surgery critical care team. This team member will work solely in our busy cardiovascular intensive care unit. This individual collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and closely with physicians and surgeons to serve as a key team member in a 24-hour-directed multidisciplinary model in a 32-bed adult heart unit. Our high-acuity ICU desires individuals with experience in managing complex post operative adult cardiac surgery patients, including heart transplants, mechanical circulatory support (Impella, IABP), ventricular assist devices (VAD) and ECMO. Requires experience as an APP in cardiology (preferably CV surgery). Weekend and holiday rotations are required. Schedule is primarily nights but can flex to some days. APPs work together to make their own schedule. As the flagship medical center for one of the largest Catholic healthcare systems in the United States, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. It is home to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and University of Illinois College of Medicine residency and fellowship training programs.
Requirements
- Licensed to provide Advanced Practice Nurse Services or Physician Assistant Services
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics
