About The Position

This position is responsible for providing clinical education and hands-on training for cardiac sonographers, students, and new hires. The role involves overseeing protocol training, image/study supervision, review, competency assessments, skills development, and continuing education in TTE, TEE, and stress echo. The Cardiovascular Educator will collaborate with department leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and staff preparedness. They will also serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for new technologies, protocols, and procedures, and assist with program development and partnerships with schools, externships, and outreach efforts. Additionally, the role requires performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies as needed to support team operations, with an estimated 25-50% scanning of assigned patients. The expectations of scanning will vary based on the number of sonographers in training. Flexibility is required to accommodate training needs, procedure types, schedules, and lab volumes, including occasional evenings and/or weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Comfortable creating and maintaining documents in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Epic workbench reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI.

Responsibilities
