Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider
About The Position
Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI), a partner practice of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA), is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their cardiology team in Central Florida. This role offers a strong mix of inpatient and hospital-based cardiology responsibilities with exposure to a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions and patient populations. APPs work closely with experienced Cardiologists in a supportive environment that values mentorship, teamwork, and hands-on clinical training. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced providers and motivated new graduates interested in transitioning into cardiology to build a long-term foundation within cardiovascular medicine.
Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Active Florida license or ability to obtain
- Interest in acute care and cardiovascular medicine
- Team-oriented mindset with commitment to quality patient care
Nice To Haves
- Cardiology or inpatient experience preferred, but not required
- Strong new graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients across affiliated hospital settings
- Participate in inpatient consults, rounding, and care coordination
- Manage medications, treatment plans, and patient follow-up
- Order and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic testing including EKGs, labs, imaging, and additional cardiac studies
- Work closely alongside Cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
- Exposure to a broad range of general cardiology and acute cardiac conditions
