About The Position

This is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon position in North Dakota. The role is based in a hospital facility. The assignment dates are from July 24th to August 2nd, and September 25th to October 12th. The work schedule is 7 am to 7 am, with 1-2 surgeries per day (Monday-Friday) depending on need. Responsibilities include inpatient call/rounding and outpatient consults in the afternoons after surgery. The position requires a Doctorate within the specified field of medical practice from an accredited school. Support staff includes a CT surgery APP, clinic LPN, and RN, with full OR staff available.

Requirements

  • MD
  • Board Certified – Royal College of Surgeons or American board certification or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification OR certified by the Canadian Board and are members of either the Royal College of Physicians
  • Doctorate within specified field of medical practice from respective accredited school.
  • Ability to obtain North Dakota license before the start date.
  • IMLC is acceptable as a preliminary license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CABG, valve repair/replacement, pericardial window, lung resection, and vascular surgeries including endarterectomies.
  • Handle inpatient call/rounding.
  • Conduct outpatient consults in the afternoons after surgery.
  • Manage 1-2 surgeries per day (Monday-Friday) depending on need.
