About The Position

Intermountain Health is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly collaborative team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons in St. George, Utah. This is an exceptional opportunity to step into an established practice with strong surgical volumes, robust APP support, and an expanding Structural Heart program. The ideal candidate will have an interest in both adult cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery, with enthusiasm for participating in and growing our Structural Heart/TAVR program alongside an experienced cardiovascular team. This role offers a collegial, team-first culture focused on collaboration and patient-centered care, with excellent relationships among surgeons, cardiologists, APPs, and hospital leadership. There is significant health system investment supporting continued program growth, and an opportunity to help shape the future of cardiothoracic and structural heart services in Southern Utah.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
U.S. ACGME Residency
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
Interest in supporting Structural Heart TAVR procedures

Responsibilities

Perform both cardiac and thoracic procedures
Support Structural Heart TAVR procedures
Participate in and grow the Structural Heart/TAVR program
Collaborate with a team of cardiothoracic surgeons, surgical APPs, structural heart APPs, and interventional cardiologists
Engage in clinic days 1-2 times per week
Participate in a 1:4 call schedule with flexibility
