About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon on Hilton Head Island, SC. The role involves providing call-only coverage for inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases from July 24 to August 3, 2026. The surgeon will manage post-operative patients, perform emergency surgeries, consult on critical care patients, and round on assigned patients. The facility uses Cerner EMR and has 12 beds in the department with 4 RNs providing support. Temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- BC (Board Certified)
- SC (South Carolina) License
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for cardiothoracic surgical cases during the coverage period.
- Manage post-operative patients in the ICU and step-down units.
- Perform emergency cardiothoracic surgeries as needed.
- Consult on critical care patients with cardiothoracic issues.
- Round on assigned patients and manage their care.
