Carilion Clinic is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join its growing academic radiology practice in a fully remote position. The role offers primarily daytime coverage, with one swing shift (12:00 PM–8:00 PM) every three weeks and one evening shift (5:00 PM–11:00 PM) every three weeks. Weekend coverage is approximately one weekend per month. There are no overnight responsibilities because dedicated overnight teleradiology coverage is provided. The position includes 50 vacation days annually and up to five additional holidays. The radiologist interprets a mix of cardiothoracic and general diagnostic imaging, supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center and a thrombectomy-capable Comprehensive Stroke Center. Mammography is not required. Dedicated Reading Room Assistants are available during day and evening shifts to support workflow and provider communication. The remote role includes a full diagnostic home workstation, including a BARCO diagnostic monitor, and uses SECTRA PACS, PowerScribe 360, Epic EMR, Syngo.Via, and TeraRecon advanced visualization platforms. As part of Carilion Clinic's academic mission, radiologists receive faculty appointments with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The posted salary range is $531,000–$782,000 annually; the maximum includes historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings. The role also offers comprehensive benefits and pension offerings.
