About The Position

Carilion Clinic is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to support the growth and expansion of heart failure services at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703-bed Level 1 Trauma, academic, and tertiary care center serving nearly one million residents of southwestern Virginia. The position is part of a nationally recognized regional cardiovascular network with an established and growing Section of Cardiology and a strong primary care and specialty referral base. The physician will provide comprehensive advanced heart failure care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including care for patients requiring temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices. The Heart Failure Clinic is located in the Crystal Spring Tower, which opened in July 2025. The 500,000-plus-square-foot expansion houses the Cardiovascular Institute and an expanded Emergency Department. The clinic includes expanded exam rooms, an outpatient infusion suite, dedicated physician and APP offices, and a conference room designed for multidisciplinary collaboration. Carilion Clinic is a community-based, integrated, not-for-profit health system where innovation, collaboration, and physician leadership are central to its culture. The Section of Cardiology supports fellowships in general, interventional, and structural cardiology and advances cardiovascular care through education and research in partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
