About The Position

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology is seeking a Cardiothoracic or Thoracic Radiologist to join their practice in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. The position is based at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, located adjacent to Hanover, NH, home to Dartmouth College and Geisel School of Medicine. Dartmouth Health Radiology has a strong cardiothoracic imaging section focused on clinical care, education, and scholarly activity. Faculty at Dartmouth Health serve as Assistant, Associate, or full Professors at the Geisel School of Medicine. The selected candidate will join Dartmouth Health’s 60 radiologists, an internationally-known Department with a deep history in the field. DHMC is the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is home to a fleet of helicopter and ground-based medical transport services. Dartmouth Health maintains a total of 802 beds, with 458 located at DHMC. Requirements

  • Fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic or Thoracic Radiologist.
  • Interest in teaching and being in an academic environment.
  • Aspiring towards clinical excellence.
  • Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Fellowship-trained or relevant experience with a keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont.
  • The ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience.

  • Experience or interest in having a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence and teaching skill preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of cutting-edge Cardiothoracic or Thoracic-only Imaging including chest CT, chest radiography, and some volume of chest MR.
  • For individuals with training and/or experience in cardiac imaging, the division also performs Cardiac MR and Coronary CTA.
  • Participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in regular multidisciplinary meetings with other Departments.
  • Encouraged to participate in national societies and organizations, with an eye towards developing a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence.
