About The Position

As a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Aide, you'll play an important role in helping patients safely participate in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Working under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Case Manager, you'll support daily exercise therapy, assist with patient monitoring, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for every patient. You'll assist with supervised exercise sessions, collect patient information such as vital signs, weights, and pulse oximetry readings, and document patient care activities accurately. You'll also help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote comfort and safety, communicate changes in patient condition to the Case Manager, and maintain organized, clean, and well-stocked treatment areas. In this role, you'll contribute to a collaborative care team by supporting quality patient care, recognizing emergency situations, and providing exercise instruction under the supervision of the Case Manager while following established clinical standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of undergraduate coursework in Exercise Physiology or a related field
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Current BLS and/or CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Ability to safely use patient care equipment
  • Ability to perform the physical and technical requirements of the position
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear, and understand English

Nice To Haves

  • One to three years of experience in an exercise, fitness, or healthcare setting
