About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an exceptional Cardiology Veterinary Technician. This role involves providing nursing care to stable patients, reporting on patient status, calculating medical math, understanding and administering medications, performing phlebotomy, triaging patients, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and preparing prescriptions and discharge instructions for clients.
Requirements
- Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
- Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.
- Calculate basic medical math.
- Understand classification of commonly-used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
- Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- Perform phlebotomy
- Triage and obtain patient history
- Assist clinician with diagnostic procedures
- Patient care including treatments
- Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
