About The Position

Performs specialized clinical functions related to the Cardiac & Vascular Dept.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Cardiovascular Technician, Patient Care Technician, EMT, LPN or a Paramedic is required.
• Knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology of the heart.
• Knowledge of Cardiac Patients and procedures
• Ability to think and act independently with critical thinking skills.
• Computer skills are highly preferred.
• Current BLS Certification
• Basic arrythmia course and pass written exam with 80%25 score or higher.
• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Act 34

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of Medical Assistance program, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with Transesophageal Echo
• Prep and prepare patients for TEE S
• Provide care to the CV adult and geriatric patient.
• Perform correct and accurate procedure documentation
• Helps EP/Cath/IR/Hybrid procedure turnaround efficiencies.
• Order supplies for Cardiac & Vascular Dept
• Transport
• Other duties as assigned
