About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner in Jackson, MI. The role involves managing follow-up patients on the inpatient cardiology rounding service, providing discharge instructions, and managing post-procedure care. The position also includes outpatient cardiology care (20% of the time). The facility is a Level II Trauma Center utilizing the Epic EMR system. Coverage is needed from January 4, 2027, ongoing, with a shift schedule of Sunday-Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, on a 7 days on/7 days off rotation. This is a supplemental coverage need.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- Michigan (MI) License
- Active DEA
- BLS, ACLS (AHA) certifications
- 3 years or more of prior experience in IP and OP cardiology
- Clean background
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
- Acute Care trained preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage follow-up patients on the cardiology IP rounding service.
- Provide discharge instructions and manage post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with physicians for inpatient rounding.
- Provide outpatient cardiology care as needed (20%).
