About The Position
Mercyhealth is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Cardiology team in Rockford, Illinois. The role works with non-invasive and interventional cardiologists, electrophysiology cardiologists, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, advanced practice providers, and nursing and support staff. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no call, weekend, or holiday work. The team has an EPIC electronic medical record, an established referral system, and support from provider liaisons. Mercyhealth is a nonprofit regional health system serving Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Hold an active state APRN or PA license.
- Be skilled at providing exceptional care.
- Communicate clearly and work as a member of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care as part of the Cardiology team.
- Work collaboratively with cardiologists, surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, support staff, and provider liaisons.
