About The Position
This is an ongoing coverage need for a part-time Cardiology NP/PA position. The role involves outpatient coverage, including supervision for ECHO/Nuclear stress tests, and office cardiac device checks and EKG interpretation. The provider will see an average of 12 patients per day. The assignment length is ongoing, with a start date of December 1st, and is a long-term permanent search. The patient population is adult.
Requirements
- Active Oregon licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1-year Cardiology experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Oregon OR Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Oregon
- National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]) OR National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
- Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
- Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
- Supervision for ECHO/Nuclear stress tests
- Office cardiac device checks and EKG interpretation
