About The Position

Become a part of our caring community. The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. Job Functions: Collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge. You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at the Conviva Goliad Care Center, located at: 1567 Goliad Rd, San Antonio, TX 78223. Use your skills to make an impact.

Requirements

• Successfully completed MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• 3+ years MA experience
• 1+ year of Cardiology experience
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
