About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens Physician position in Cardiology, located in Walla Walla, WA. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient coverage, including on-call duties. The coverage period is from November 30, 2026, ongoing, with a shift schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM (8-hour shifts). On-call duties include weeknights after clinic hours and 24-hour weekend calls, with a beeper system and a 20-minute response time. The average daily patient volume is 15. The case mix includes General Cardiology, Invasive diagnostics, and ICU. The facility uses the Epic EMR system and is supported by a team of RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- Licensed in WA
- Universal License (IMLC)
- DEA Required
- ACLS Certification
- Epic EMR proficiency

Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care.
- Manage inpatient cardiology patients including ICU.
- Perform and interpret echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and other non-invasive tests.
- Participate in a 2-week per month call schedule covering weeknights and weekends.
- Optionally perform invasive diagnostic procedures such as diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
