About The Position
Seeking a Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Gettysburg, PA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with a need for supplemental coverage. The schedule alternates weekly between call and clinic duties. The position is with a WellSpan-owned practice and requires coverage for 2 physicians or 1 full-time equivalent. Hospital privileges are available, including temporary privileges with a clean file.
Requirements
- Active PA license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- DEA required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Testing.
- Experience with hospital consults.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in 24-hour call duties on a rotating basis (1 week call / 1 week clinic per month).
- Admit patients and perform daily rounding.
- Perform cardiology procedures including TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Testing.
- Handle hospital consults.
- Manage patient volume of approximately 20 inpatients and 18 clinic outpatients per day.
- Work collaboratively with medical assistants and specialty backup staff.
