About The Position

The Heart Team at Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a full-time non-invasive Cardiologist to join our highly collegial team. In this role, your time is about evenly split with clinic, inpatient rounding, and imaging. Ambulatory consultations and follow-ups will be at our Clinic and Specialty Center and community outreach locations (as applicable) with inpatient cardiology consultations at our L1 Trauma hospital, Hennepin County Medical Center. Ability to utilize echocardiography including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), with opportunities available for nuclear imaging and advanced cardiac imaging (including cardiac CT and cardiac MRI). About the Division A closely knit group of outstanding providers (MDs and APPs) providing clinical services across the entire spectrum of cardiovascular diseases in conjunction with an extended team of Heart and Vascular Service line providers. Deeply focused on the mission of Hennepin Healthcare, partnering with our community to ensure access to outstanding care across the entire spectrum of cardiovascular diseases Wide range of experience and specialties/special interests within the team Quality work-life balance with general cardiology call (1 in 8 nights, 6-7 weekends/year) Proudly training the next generation of practitioners with active teaching programs for students, residents, and fellows. Requirements

  • Unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota (or eligible for licensure)
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship training program in Cardiovascular Disease or an AOA accredited fellowship training program in Cardiology.
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine or in Cardiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent certification by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Level II training in Echocardiography (including TEE)

Nice To Haves

  • Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac MRI
  • Strong commitment to post-graduate medical training

Responsibilities
