About The Position

The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is recognized as a top integrated center for cardiovascular clinical care, translational research and professional training in all aspects of heart and vascular disease. Guided by a multi-disciplinary approach, researchers and clinicians drive a vibrant translational research program, which focuses on delivering the latest knowledge and cutting-edge care to patients. Specifically, research at KCVI seeks to improve patient outcomes by achieving earlier diagnosis of disease, more accurate monitoring of its progression, and tailoring therapy to the molecular basis of disease. OHSU is a teaching institution and as a faculty member, you are expected to provide mentorship and direction to students, residents, fellows and staff. This role is intended to establish and grow a comprehensive heart failure clinic and inpatient HF service at Legacy while integrating closely with OHSU’s advanced therapies program, including LVAD and cardiac transplantation.

Requirements

  • Licensed MD/DO with active Oregon license upon hire
  • Board Certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases and heart failure
  • Active DEA Certification

  • Prior experience practicing in an academic health facility is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient clinic duties
  • Inpatient heart failure and transplant service rotations
  • Mentorship and direction to students, residents, fellows and staff
