About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking an advanced echocardiography trained physician candidate to fill a faculty position in echocardiography/cardiology within the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic Arizona. The echocardiography lab is a high-volume, ICAEL accredited facility with its own ultrasound school, an advanced echocardiography fellowship, and a research echo fellowship program. The lab supports various inpatient and outpatient activities, including intraoperative procedures, structural heart disease interventions, and mechanical device procedures. The clinical reading platform and workflow are integrated with other Mayo Clinic echo labs, offering opportunities for research collaboration. Successful candidates will possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in education and research. Clinical duties include rotations on the inpatient cardiology service and participation in outpatient ambulatory care. Expertise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and/or valvular heart disease is considered a plus. Mayo Clinic also offers leadership development and mentorship programs.

Requirements

ABIM board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases
ASE certified in Echocardiography
Advanced echocardiography or cardiac imaging fellowship training post cardiology fellowship
Ability to obtain AZ state medical license

Responsibilities

Serve as a faculty member in echocardiography/cardiology.
Perform clinical reading and support outpatient and inpatient hospital activities.
Participate in intraoperative, structural heart disease, and mechanical device procedures.
Engage in education and research activities.
Complete clinical rotations in the inpatient cardiology service.
Participate in outpatient ambulatory care.
