About The Position
Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Cardio Pulmonary Supervisor to supervise a department of four. The role is based in Newberry, Michigan, and works Monday through Friday, with some weekend and holiday coverage as needed. The supervisor helps ensure appropriate staffing for patient volume, contributes to the department budget, manages staff and outpatient procedure schedules, and provides education about equipment, procedures, and medications.
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- PALS certification required.
- PFT experience required.
- Two years of hospital patient care experience, including Emergency Department experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Pulmonary Rehab preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the Cardio Pulmonary department, which has four staff members.
- Assure appropriate staffing levels for the patient load.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the department budget.
- Maintain schedules for departmental staff and outpatient procedures, including treatments, EKGs, and PFTs.
- Educate departmental and general hospital staff as necessary about new or changing equipment, procedures, and medications.
