About The Position

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician to perform echocardiograms for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The role supports the assessment of cardiac structure and function and helps providers diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population. The technician travels to assigned facilities and works with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff. The position is based in Connecticut and is full-time, five days per week, with 1099 employment status.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification or equivalent certification required.
Prior experience performing echocardiograms required.
Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfort working with the geriatric population.
Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols.
Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by cardiology providers.
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout testing.
Identify and document anatomical and functional cardiac findings.
Document procedures accurately and upload studies to designated systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed.
Follow infection-control requirements, HIPAA, and facility policies.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
Travel to assigned skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
