About The Position

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. It has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows and is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. This position is for a Cardiac Ultrasound role, requiring specific credentials such as RDCS, ACS, or RCS.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required OR CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required OR CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac 1 Year required OR CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Within 1 year of hire required for Vascular Department

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
• Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound.
• May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.
