About The Position

This role involves monitoring advanced life-support equipment, administering medications, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex care plans. This role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to respond quickly to life-threatening situations while delivering compassionate patient care.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a CVICU/CTICU
• Flu Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
• BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association
• NIHSS required
• VA OR Compact License in hand at the time of submittal
• EPIC Charting Proficiency Experience Required
• Arterial line management
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs
• Continuous IV sedation
• Procedural Sedation Administration
• Titrate Cardiac drips
• Titrate Vasoactive drips
• strong neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp/ventriculostomy)
• FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Multi-system organ failure
• CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft)
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump
• Impella
• Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR)
• Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR)
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• IV insulin protocols
• CVVHD/CRRT
• CVA/Acute Stroke management
• Assist with management of BiPAP, CPAP
• Care of Ventilated Patient
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Ventilator Management
• Infection Prevention
• Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE
• Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac
