ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Cardiac Surgery Critical Care team. This is a full-time position that promotes a work/life balance. Position consists of covering cardiac surgery ICU with rotating days, nights, and weekends; working six 12 hr shifts and one 8 hr shift. Responsibilities and duties for the cardiac surgery patient include: consultations, pre-operative assessments, post-op critical care, daily progress notes, occasional admissions and discharges removal of chest tubes/pacing wires/IABPs, and placement of central lines and arterial lines. Our ChristianaCare Cardiac Surgery program performs multiple procedures including CABG, Valve, Complex Aortic Surgeries, TAVR, Endografts, LVAD, and ECMOs.
