Critical Care NP Job Quick Facts: • Specialty: Critical Care-NP • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Suffolk, VA • Service Setting: Inpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: Jun 1 - Ongoing • Shifts needed to be filled: - Jun (days): 1, 2, 11, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 29, 30 - Jul (days): 1, 6, 9, 11, 12, 16-22, 24, 27 - Jul (nights): 24-27 - Aug: 13-17, 20-24 (TBD if days or nights) • Coverage Type: Clinical only • Shift Schedule: Fri-Tue; 7p-8a - (5) 13-hour shifts; Must be able to cover at least 1 stint per month • Patient Volume: Ave. of 13 (can range from 1-20) • Patient Demographics: Adults • Duties: - Vent mgmt with assistance of RTs. - Monitoring of admitting critical care patients / availability to assist with decompensating patients overnight. - Admitting new critical care patients from the ED, hospital floor, and several surrounding hospitals. - Updating family/ goals of care when patients decompensate overnight. • Required Procedures/SKills: - Able to place CVLs, HD caths, and arterial lines. - Central lines and dialysis catheters - APP will be working autonomously. • EMR: Epic • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements

Active VA License
BC
DEA
BLS/ACLS
Clean record
MUST be available to cover the dates to be considered
Must be able to cover every month
With ICU/Critical Care experience
Able to place CVLs, HD caths, and arterial lines.
Central lines and dialysis catheters
APP will be working autonomously.

Responsibilities
