About The Position
Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Temporary Cardiac Surgeon to join our growing practice. The role involves interviewing patients, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, diagnosing and designing treatment plans, prescribing or administering medications, and maintaining patient records. Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. The position requires accountability for job-specific obligations and compliance with organizational policies.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Patient Care And Procedural Skills
- Professional Etiquette
- Systems-Based Practice
Responsibilities
- Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
- Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
- Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.
- May prescribe or administer medications.
- Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
