About The Position

InterHealth Staffing, a staffing division of TGH, is offering 13-week seasonal assignments for Cardiac Sonographers. These positions come with competitive base pay and the possibility of contract extensions. This is an opportunity to experience the culture at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), a leading academic medical center and safety net hospital, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. TGH's Cardiovascular Center is equipped with multiple cardiac catheterization laboratories and EP labs, and has received accreditation for its Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services. Seasonal applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific division and be competent to work independently.

Requirements

Completion of a formal 2-year accredited program in Echocardiography (Echo) or equivalent experience with the ARDMS/CCI registry.
ARDMS/CCI adult or pediatric registered certification.
Current BLS required.
Minimum Two years' experience in a non-invasive cardiology lab.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into.
Deemed competent to work independently.

Responsibilities

Under supervision of the Non Invasive Cardiology Manager, performs cardiac related procedures/tests for various age groups of patients according to established policies and procedures.
Assists physicians performing procedures such as stress tests, tilt tables, and TEEs when required.
Performs tests such as echocardiograms and EKGs independently.
Documents appropriate images and values during procedures.
Assures patient rights.
Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
