About The Position

Under the direction of the site designated leader, this role assigns and monitors the work of the Ultrasound sonographers to optimize quality and efficiency. The Cardiac Sonographer Lead acts as a resource for ultrasound staff/department, performs diagnostic ultrasounds, and ensures department policies and imaging standards are met. This position follows the Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times. This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in health care or related field.
• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound program or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience as Ultrasound Technologist or related field.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required OR CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes Cardiac/Vascular Upon Hire required OR CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes Cardiac/Vascular Upon Hire required OR CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Exclude Cardiac Upon hire for Vascular department 1 Year required OR CRT-Breast (BR) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Exclude Cardiac/Vascular 1 Year required OR CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes Cardiac/Vascular 1 Year required OR CRT-Musculoskeletal (MSK) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes Cardiac/Vascular 1 Year required OR CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes Cardiac/Vascular 1 Year required OR CRT-Pediatric Sonographer (PS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes Cardiac/Vascular 1 Year required.
