About The Position

MercyOne Genesis serves a 17-county bi-state region of the Quad Cities (Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island and Moline, Ill.) metropolitan area and the surrounding communities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. As a Cardiac Sonographer I at MercyOne Genesis, you will provide safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for newborn through aging adult patients undergoing echocardiography testing and/or procedures. You will acquire ultrasound images, evaluate tests using critical thinking and evidence-based practice, and process echocardiography studies for physician interpretation for structured reporting in adherence to American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines. Active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities in an ICAEL accredited facility is also expected.

Requirements

• 2 year Cardiac Ultrasound college program or equivalent experience
• Previous pediatric through adult experience in cardiac ultrasound
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible and must get registered within 1 year of accepting position.

• TAVR experience preferred
