About The Position

Oak Valley Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer, Echo to perform adult and paediatric cardiac ultrasound exams in a participative self-managed professional environment. The successful candidate will function independently and contribute to a high-quality, patient-centred care organization.

Requirements

Registration with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
Registration with the American Registration of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS) designation
Member of CARDUP
Current BCLS
Minimum of 1 year full-time Hospital experience in all aspects of adult echocardiography
Demonstrated excellent patient care skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards

Nice To Haves

Experience with Paediatrics
Experience with Contrast Echo, TEE and Stress Echo

Responsibilities

Perform adult and paediatric cardiac ultrasound exams.
Function independently in a self-managed professional environment.
Teach and evaluate students in their clinical placement.
Maintain a healthy and safe workplace for self and others by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices.
Complete relevant mandatory education as required.
