About The Position
The Cardiac Monitor Technician performs cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation and communicates effectively and efficiently with interdisciplinary staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in the healthcare field.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including the use of decimals.
- Ability to interact with interdisciplinary staff.
- Successful completion of an arrhythmias recognition course.
- Ability to communicate with healthcare providers of varying ages.
- Ability to recognize the effect of age on interpretation of EKGs.
- Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and maintain a high state of alertness.
