About The Position
Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is a health system dedicated exclusively to medical rehabilitation. We provide inpatient and outpatient care for people at every point in their journey from illness or injury to the most advanced state of recovery they can achieve. The Monitoring Technician is responsible for the surveillance of cardiac monitors at central monitoring station; is expert at measurement and interpretation of cardiac rhythms; manages alarms and provides RNs and/or other clinician’s immediate notifications of changes of cardiac or respiratory changes per policy.
Requirements
- H.S Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Ability to successfully complete arrhythmia course or challenge test with minimum passing score of 90 required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Experience in cardiac monitoring preferred
Responsibilities
- Surveillance of cardiac monitors at central monitoring station
- Measurement and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Management of alarms
- Immediate notification of RNs and/or other clinicians of changes in cardiac or respiratory status per policy
