About The Position

The Monitor Technician is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and remote telemetry. The technician provides registered nurses and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.

Requirements

• One year of experience as a Monitor Technician.
• Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Nice To Haves

• CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification through CCI.

Responsibilities

• Continuously surveil patient cardiac monitors and remote telemetry.
• Immediately notify registered nurses and/or clinicians of changes in cardiac rhythms.
