About The Position

The Cardiac Invasive Technologist works with the imaging team at St. Luke’s in the Cardiac Procedures department at Magic Valley Hospital. The Cath Lab averages 1,500 cases annually, including 500 interventions, and performs right and left heart catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker and ICD procedures, Impella and IABP insertions, vascular procedures, and loop recorder insertions. The team is a Level 1 STEMI Center and works collaboratively to provide patient care and pursue strong door-to-balloon times. The regular schedule is weekdays in 9-hour shifts. Call requirements include one night per week and one weekend per month, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as part of a four-person call team. The role is eligible for a sign-on bonus for external hires.

Requirements

Associate's degree, or two additional years of relevant related experience in lieu of an associate's degree.
Current certification in at least one of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Registered Cardiovascular Technician (RCVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS).

Responsibilities

Support cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, including right and left heart catheterizations and PCI.
Support pacemaker, ICD, Impella, IABP, vascular, and loop recorder procedures.
Work collaboratively with the Cath Lab team to provide patient care.
