About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. The role involves providing EP consultation services for the inpatient hospital census and managing cardiac electrophysiology needs for inpatients. The physician will also perform emergency EP procedures as needed, collaborate with the healthcare team, and document patient encounters in the Epic EMR system. Coverage is on a call-only basis, one week per month, from September 28, 2026, to May 17, 2027. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
Requirements
- IL License
- BC/BE
- BLS, ACLS, ABLS certifications
- Fellowship required
Responsibilities
- Provide EP consultation services for inpatient hospital census.
- Manage cardiac electrophysiology needs for inpatients at HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
- Perform emergency EP procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
