About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is excited to welcome a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Cardiology Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity with a shift of 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting. You will collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions. Additionally, you will provide cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations. You will deliver compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process. Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards are also key responsibilities. This Cardiac Echo Sonographer opportunity will be located at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, Florida, where you’ll be part of a compassionate community hospital that’s backed by the strength of the Baptist Health system.

Requirements

  • 1-2 Years of Cardiac Sonographer Experience
  • Adult Echo credentials through either ARDMS or CCI are required within 18 months of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and clinical teams.
  • Positions designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
