About The Position
Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician to join their team. This role involves interrogating and testing implanted devices for cardiac patients under direct supervision. The technician will monitor pulse-generator and lead function, set up equipment, edit electrograms, and initiate transtelephonic/remote follow-up. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Patient Diagnosis (Novice)
- Medical Equipment Knowledge (Novice)
- Data Input (Novice)
- Analysis (Fundamental Awareness)
Responsibilities
- Optimizes the clinical effectiveness of pacing by making suitable pacing-system adjustments.
- Enters and/or labels prerecorded electrograms.
- Sets up all necessary equipment needed.
- Enters medications and problem/procedure list into MARS accurately and timely.
